The Sandringham Craft, Wood and Food Festival – May 3rd, 4th & 5th

The Sandringham Craft, Wood and Food Festival is a truly unique event comprising of a quality Craft Fair and a Food Festival all rolled into one.

The event offers an array of quality Craft Stands and traditional craft demonstrations such as glass blowing, blacksmiths and wood working. While the food festival is jam packed with local and national producers, retailers and artisans in a number of food halls within the show.

Here you will find our cookery theatre, a large marquee with cookery demonstrations throughout the day from some of the most well known tv chef personalities such as Rosemary Shrager, Galton Blackiston, Levi Roots and Alysia Greenwood – The Yorkshire Forager

In the centre of the show there will be a large quantity of quality and varied street foods and bars for you to try and enjoy. In this area why not sit and relax listening to live music from a varied genre of jazz and country music.

Another, major feature of the show is the English Open Chainsaw competition now in its 21st year. A competition to produce a sculpture from a piece of timber using a chainsaw. This event attracts professional chainsaw carvers from all over the world including USA, Canada, Norway, Finland, Germany, Ireland, England and Wales.

Two carvers returning to the competition this year are Chris Wood from Wales and John Hayes from Ireland who both appeared in the tv series – A Cut Above.

In the wood section of the show there will be a vintage display of rack saws, machinery and stationary engines.

Taking part in the arena will be the Axe men, a fast-paced display of chopping and sawing.

With Falconry displays, puppet shows, hamsters and fun fair, there’s something for everyone at the Sandringham Craft, Wood and Food Festival.

Disabled Facilities

We have disabled loos and we will attempt to park you as close to the entrance as possible (speak to the car park attendant when you arrive). Please be aware that the show is held on grassed open ground.

Dogs Welcome

Dogs are very welcome – All we would ask is that you keep them on a lead (unless they are participating in an organised event) and that you clear up after them. Please do not leave dogs unattended in hot cars.

*Please be aware that there are a lot of loud noises and bangs on the site in the vicinity of the chainsaw area and other attractions and arena displays. If your dog is stressed by loud bangs and noises it may be kinder to leave them at home.
