Ice carving appeared at the fair for the first time last year and proved to be an instant success.

They carved a reindeer on the first day followed by a fabulous sleigh seen in the pictures and the many taken away by families with their youngsters posing with Santa.

The third sculpture was a postbox, not just any postbox but Santa’s postbox where children sent their letters to Santa on the Sunday.

This year we have retained Santas postbox as one of the three daily carvings, so Santa still receives your childrens letters. We are trying something a little different with the carvings this year linking them to the fairy tale Three Little Billys Pigs. The Noisy Oyster Puppet group will perform a daily performance of the Three Little Billy Pigs to interact with the ice carvings.

They will be performing the Three Little Billy Pigs in the Ice Carving Tent in the afternoon, a performance of Dangerous Dave in the Alternative Cabaret Tent earlier in the day. Their performances are on Saturday and Sunday.

We will be listing a timetable soon.
