Jixenwell Gundogs

James and Davina Wiles of Jixenwell Gundogs have been professionally training dogs for the past 8 years through their parent company Walkabout Hounds Dog Training Centre in Leeds. James has been training gundogs for the field and working tests and trials for the past 25 years. He has been giving regular group gundog classes in Leeds, Doncaster and Selby and 121 tuition to individuals wanting to expand their learning either in the pet gundog world, progressing forwards in Gundog Tests and Trials or Beaters Training sessions for a number of local shoots. James and Davina are passionate about providing quality, modern, inclusive dog training to all from the dedicated gundog enthusiast to the complete beginner who needs a guiding understanding hand to become the future of the gundog world.

The Gundog Scurry at the Living Heritage Game and Country Fairs will be an opportunity for each and every person to come along with their dog and have a go! Each day of the event James and Davina will be running a number of events for you to come along and enter on the day. For those people wishing to have a bit of a challenge, the events will be timed and split into 3 categories of Junior Handler, Novice and Open. Prizes will be available for the top 3 times, but also there will be bonus prizes available for those people who are brand new to the Gundog World.
